Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition

Cowbellpedia is a national mathematics competition in Nigeria for junior secondary school students, created and sponsored by Promasidor Nigeria Limited under its Cowbell Milk brand. Launched in 2015 as the TV-quiz evolution of the long‑running Cowbell National Secondary Schools Mathematics Competition, Cowbellpedia features written qualifying exams followed by televised quiz-show style knockout rounds. The competition is open to students in Junior Secondary School (JSS 1–3) from both public and private schools across Nigeria, typically entered through their schools. Participants benefit from rigorous math practice, national exposure via the Cowbellpedia TV show, scholarships, cash prizes, and educational materials, while schools gain recognition for strong performance in STEM education. Although it focuses on junior secondary, it is widely regarded as a major pipeline and motivation for future senior secondary and olympiad‑level math contestants in Nigeria.
