European Hyperloop Week Competition

European Hyperloop Week (EHW) is an annual international competition and conference where student teams design, build, and test hyperloop-related technologies, including pods, subsystems, and infrastructure concepts. The event typically takes place over several days in a European host city and includes technical presentations, design reviews, static and sometimes dynamic tests, plus keynote talks and networking with industry professionals. EHW is primarily aimed at university-level teams (engineering, physics, and related disciplines), though advanced high school students may participate if they are part of an accepted team that meets the event’s technical and safety standards. Participants gain hands-on experience in systems engineering, propulsion, levitation, controls, and project management, while also building an international network in the emerging high-speed transportation sector.
