National Academic Games Project

The National Academic Games Project (NAGP) is a U.S.-based program that engages students in competitive, strategy-based academic games covering mathematics, language arts, social studies, logic, and current events. Students prepare for and play structured games such as EQUATIONS (math), PROPAGANDA (language and logic), LINGUISHTIK (grammar and vocabulary), ON-SETS (set theory), WORLD EVENTS (current events), PRESIDENTS (U.S. history), and others, depending on their local program. Academic Games are typically organized through schools or local leagues, with teams practicing during the school year and competing in regional tournaments. Top teams often qualify for the Academic Games National Tournament, which brings together students from different states. High school students (grades 9–12) can benefit by strengthening critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, building a strong extracurricular profile for college applications, and joining a community of academically motivated peers.
